As we anticipated, Malta is a perfect place to learn to dive. Its warm and clean waters allow you to discover what the bottom of the Mediterranean has prepared. And the best thing is that you can do it at any time.

Most diving schools are located on the islands of Malta and Gozo. Best of all, they have fairly affordable prices compared to other places. Whether you are an expert diver or if this is your first time, the waters of Malta are perfect.

The only problem will be deciding where to make your foray. And there are many interesting places worth discovering: the Blue Lagoon de Comino, Marsalform Beach, Ghar Lapsi ...

The seabed of Malta, in addition to great natural wealth, hide the remains of countless ships and planes sunk in the area during the world wars.

2. Know Valletta, something you should do in Malta without excuses

Valletta

Valletta is one of those capitals unfairly little known. It is certainly not because I don't have dozens of interesting places. In fact, Its old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It is one of the densest places in the world from a cultural point of view, because within its wonderful wall it has more than 300 monuments. Do not forget to discover the secrets of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem or that of the Knights of Malta. And get ready to walk and climb its many slopes.

3. Discover Marsaxlokk

Marsaxlokk

Behind that difficult name lies one of the most special places in Malta. It is a small fishing village of just over 3000 inhabitants and a lot of charm.

But without any doubt, The most striking are the boats moored in its port. These are characterized by their bright colors and, above all, by the eyes in the bow. One of those different things you must do in Malta to thoroughly enjoy its essence.

4. Visit Gozo

Malta is made up of three islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino. Although you may not have time to visit them all, it is highly recommended (if not mandatory) to visit at least the two main ones. Therefore, spending at least one day in Gozo is necessary to complete your stay.

Do not miss the city of Victoria not even the beautiful landscapes that the island can offer you. One of those who cut their breath are those of the Blue Window. Although the stone arch collapsed in 2017, the area is still impressive. Also, if you are a fan of Game of Thrones it will sound to you, because there the Khaleesi and Khal Drogo got married.

5. Enjoy the sun and water

Although it is one of the best known islands in the Mediterranean, the truth is that Malta has few sandy beaches. Those of rocks or even natural pools carved by the sea itself are much more common.

One of the best areas is the Sliema, where you can bathe, relax and enjoy the atmosphere, especially at sunset. Another good option is that of St. Julian's or Spinola Bay. All highly recommended.

If you still want to know some beach, the best beach is that of Mellieha Bay, of fine sand, bars and tourists. In addition, you can practice some water sport or rent a motorized mat (it is quite curious). You can even visit Popeye Village on the same day, a kind of very cinematic theme park.

This is just a small list of all the things you can do in Malta. This is an archipelago where surprises await you almost in every corner. Do you write it on your list of destinations?
